For this book cover, I wanted to visually capture the intersection between human cognition and machine intelligence. The concept of artificial intelligence often feels abstract or intimidating, so my goal was to create a design that feels both futuristic and approachable. I chose a glowing cityscape to represent the digital infrastructure that powers AI, with illuminated lines on the ground symbolizing data flow and connectivity. The profile of the human face integrated with circuit patterns and neural networks reflects the fusion of human thought and machine learning. I placed the letters “AI” prominently on the face to emphasize identity and recognition—how AI is becoming part of our everyday lives. The network of nodes in the background reinforces the idea of interconnected systems and learning algorithms. Color played a key role in my design choices. I used cool tones like electric blue and violet to evoke a sense of innovation and clarity, while the glowing accents suggest energy and discovery. The composition is meant to invite curiosity and signal that this book is not just about technology—it’s about understanding how intelligence is evolving. Creating this cover allowed me to blend visual storytelling with conceptual depth, which is something I strive for in all my instructional design work. For this logo, I wanted to visually represent the essence of conversational AI in a way that felt both dynamic and intelligent. I started in Inkscape by sketching two overlapping speech bubbles—one dark blue and one light blue—to symbolize dialogue and exchange. These shapes were created using the ellipse and path tools, then layered with transparency to suggest interaction and depth. Above the speech bubbles, I designed a polygonal brain-like structure using the pen tool and node editing. I added interconnected lines and nodes to evoke neural networks and machine learning. At the center of the brain, I placed the letters “AI” in a bold, futuristic font to anchor the concept of artificial intelligence. I used gradients and glow effects to give the brain a digital, illuminated feel. To unify the composition, I enclosed the elements in a glowing oval with sparkles and stars, created using radial gradients and custom vector shapes. This added a sense of energy and innovation. For the text “ChatGPT,” I chose a gradient blue font that complements the speech bubbles and reinforces the tech-forward aesthetic. Throughout the process, I experimented with layering, transparency, and stroke styles to achieve a clean yet vibrant look. Inkscape’s flexibility with vector paths and gradients made it easy to refine each element without losing resolution.
